The Architectural Tectonics Studio at MAT builds a strong foundation in design and fabrication through three phases: Parametric Design, where students explore forms and fabrication techniques; Mechanical Systems, focusing on dynamic facade systems; and Structural Spanning Systems, culminating in the design of a high-rise building. This approach develops technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of structural expression through detailing and materiality at various scales.
