Chittorgarh, a revered gem of Mewar, stands as a testament to the bravery, architectural genius, and rich cultural history of the Rajput era. Its towering fortifications, intricate palace complexes, and meticulously designed water systems speak of an era where valor, love, and sacrifice shaped the very landscape. However, the beauty and glory of Chittorgarh came at a great cost, as the city endured numerous invasions, most notably by Alauddin Khilji in the 13th century, that left the civilization in ruins. Amidst the devastation, the saga of Maharani Padmini, her sacrifice, and her enduring legacy continue to captivate the hearts of many. This project seeks to reintroduce the lost connections between Chittorgarh’s historical essence and its current state—bridging the past and present through a curated, immersive experience. By engaging with the land, water, and architecture, the goal is to breathe life into the fragments of history still present at the site and allow visitors to understand and connect with the layers of history, valor, and tragedy that shaped the course of this iconic fort.
