Roots and Rhythms: A Space for Connection and Craft

The project involves designing and constructing a "Place of Gatherings and Performances," envisioned as an open-to-sky courtyard integrated with existing trees and plant life. Managed by the student community, this space will host small gatherings, outdoor performances, discussions, and craft workshops for younger children, fostering community interaction. The design prioritizes environmental harmony, preserving the site's natural features while incorporating sustainable materials and cost-effective construction methods to align with the modest funding provided by the University and A.G. School. Emphasizing craftsmanship and landscape inspiration, the project aims to create a vibrant, flexible space that respects the site's living character.
