Otaku Odyssey

An Otaku Cine-Journalist is a profession in which a journalist and a cinematographer work together to study and talk about the otaku (manga and anime) culture of Japan and the people's response to its trends, influences, history and evolution. A project housing the workspaces of this profession was designed keeping in mind the importance of public interest in this program and thus, also creating a hub for the people following this culture. The form was arrived at using procedural modelling and the resulting characteristics were taken advantage of while assigning the program. The logic of an object embedding itself within another is visible at multiple scales. The same logic has also been used to assign the program as the public cuts through the workspaces allowing transparency both ways and thus, facilitating the program further.
