SATTVA - A Wellness Center

The design of Sattva is inspired by the natural flow of water across the site, where ephemeral streams and swales create a lasting sense of fluidity and movement. The project evokes the dynamic patterns of water, incorporating concepts such as radiality, meandering, and continuity into both its architecture and the spatial experience within it. The forms within the wellness center offer a range of varied experiences, akin to the flow of water, with moments of compression and release, meandering pathways, and continuous walls that reflect the shifting contours of the land, sculpted by the movement of water. By abstracting the water's flow into architectural forms, there is a cohesive connection that is created between the landscape, the built environment, and the people. The final design seeks to reflect the fluid and ever-changing nature of the site. Every element of the design is intertwined, emphasizing the space as a natural extension of the land itself, where the architecture appears to have evolved in response to the landscape.
