The journey of accentuation through apertures has been epiphanic toward my perception of design. The projects offered insights into design principles like contrast, repetition, and materiality. Threads juxtaposed with rugged industrial shed highlighted contrast, showing harmony through opposing elements. Textile waste bricks emphasized repetition and standardization, illustrating the impact of uniformity on structure and coherence. Denim strips, pinched and twisted into apertures, explored movement and fluidity, evoking energy and dynamism. These experiments deepened the understanding of integrating sustainable materials and innovative techniques, demonstrating how thoughtful design can balance functionality with aesthetic and conceptual depth. Click here for additional work.
