Veil of Luminescence

This project explores how light and materiality shape spatial perception, emphasizing frosted glass as a versatile medium for creating visual dichotomy. Grounded in the hypothesis, "The play of light with tactile surfaces enhances visual contrast," the design juxtaposes frosted glass with raw, textured walls to evoke depth and tension. A key insight is that frosted glass itself can be manipulated—ranging from translucent to opaque—to produce diverse light effects, generating contrast within its own form. This approach transforms frosted glass into both a mediator of light and a sculptural element, crafting immersive spaces that balance transparency, texture, and visual intrigue.
