Edge of Reverence

The site is  Kailash temple situated in aurangabad, maharashtra. The intend for this design is to respond to the kailash by keeping the space empty rather than attempting to build something on it. The project uses the void left by the temple to symbolize the memory of kailash and enduring the legacy of what once was. At the bottom the footprint of the kailash remains untouched. The void emphasizes the temple’s “missingness” turning absence into a space. visitors can walk around the cliff.
