The program aims to establish an interconnected system tailored for the Khazan lands, operating on native principles and blending traditional practices with modern techniques. It focuses on three primary aspects: salt production, integrated paddy and fish farming, and packing, storage, and transportation facilities. The intervention is designed to enhance the ecological and economic vitality of the region while supporting community livelihoods. Salt production is at the heart of the program, utilizing sloping bamboo curtains for evaporation, brine collection, and crystallization. This method leverages the natural properties of the Khazan lands to create a productive and efficient salt-harvesting process. Simultaneously, the program integrates paddy and fish farming, a symbiotic approach that revitalizes the land’s fertility and generates dual income streams through aquaculture and agriculture. To facilitate the seamless flow of goods, a packing and storage unit is incorporated into the program. A small wet dock is proposed along the riverbank to allow for efficient loading and unloading of materials via barges, ensuring smooth transportation and access to markets. This intervention not only restores and enhances the productive potential of the Khazan lands but also provides a replicable model for other regions. By balancing traditional methods with modern efficiencies, it aims to promote ecological sustainability, increase agricultural productivity, and foster economic resilience in inland environments.
