The introduction to Design for excellence (Df…X) aspires an active synthesis of Design for Manufacturing with appropriate materials (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA), combined with Design for Quality (DfQ), Design for Safety (DfS), and others.
The studio will focus on manufacturing products with materials, developing the Product Specification, preparing the technical drawings and process planning.The estimation of quantity of materials for production will be in focus.
Analysis of existing products with identified complexity will set the background for learning the Df…X metrics and document the processes in detail.
Design and development of a new product using the tools will result in appropriate documentation with hi fidelity models or prototypes.
Experiencing design of products with identified metals and nonmetals and their characteristics will be the highlight of the studio.
