The space I’ve envisioned breathes life into the spirit of curiosity and discovery. Nestled amidst an urban setting, it is a haven for teenagers—a place where creativity unfolds and every corner tells a new story. The ground floor invites with a sense of grounded familiarity, housing a pottery studio and a reception area bathed in natural light, thanks to the double-height ceiling that amplifies the room’s openness. Subtle greys dominate, creating a tranquil canvas for vibrant moments to unfold. Angular forms take center stage in the design, inspired by the existing elements of the site but reimagined with sharp, deliberate angles that cast ever-changing shadows. These shadows, dancing across walls and floors as the day progresses, bring to life the concept of light and shadow interplay—a visual metaphor for the mysteries and surprises the space promises. The first floor, with its arcade, pulses with energy. Bold splashes of red, blue, and yellow infuse the jamming spaces with vibrancy, reflecting the dynamic nature of youth. Decks extend and connect, both physically and emotionally, bridging the gap between the ground and the elevated experiences above. These open-air platforms invite gatherings, fostering connections under the sky, with an edge of adventure in their asymmetry and unexpected twists. A bridge seamlessly connects two faces of the structure, offering a moment of transition—both in space and in thought. It’s a pathway to discovery, leading from one vibrant experience to another. This place doesn’t just house activities; it tells a story. It beckons teenagers to explore, to lose and find themselves in its folds, in the inter play of angles and shadows, colors and textures. Every step feels like uncovering a hidden chapter, creating a deep sense of immersion and belonging. This is more than a space—it’s a world waiting to unfold.
