The project revolves around the concept of reinterpretation of an important colonial style building, St. Joseph’s School North Point, in the Context of Mirik, Darjeeling. The design for the hotel reinterprets the architectural essence of The North Point School by incorporating the unique colonial features of the North Point School in a relevant and a contextual manner. The design strongly focuses on user experience as an important translation from the form of the North Point School, which creates a two different user experiences, from outside the building and from the inside of the building.
