Kapacoustic

Kapacoustic explores the synergy between computational design, 3D printing, and fabric experimentation to reimagine acoustic panels. By defining and adjusting parameters, the project investigates the behavior of stretched fabric as a substrate for 3D-printed patterns, revealing insights into form generation and material performance. Iterative trials led to forms inspired by egg-crate geometries, offering optimal sound absorption, lightweight structures, and adaptability to doubly curved surfaces. Beyond traditional applications, these panels function as modular partitions, allowing reconfigurable layouts and versatile curvatures. This approach combines innovation and sustainability, pushing the boundaries of acoustic design in architecture and interior spaces.
