The stool's design demonstrates how the strength of a simple planar material can be enhanced using bending and folding techniques. By folding sheet metal in a specific way, a load-bearing structure can be created that serves as seating. The goal was to achieve a form that provides strength and maintains stability, reminiscent of origami art. Like in origami, where folds contribute to structural integrity and balance, the folding technique in the stool’s design prevents the material from bending under pressure.
