Parameterizing is a process of Synthesis of Site, Program and Modular Language which generates an experience of Space.

Cinema Bazaar juxtaposes two contrasting spatial types within a single building.  One of these spatial types is architecturally dense, small scale and discrete. The other spatial type is open, large scale, and indiscrete.  The confluence this points toward a new type of public building: a provocative interface between highly scripted and altogether unscripted interactions. The ground floor allows for the encounter of bodies in space. The upper floors for circulation combines the backstage activities of theatre production with the public’s meandering pre-show route. 
The cinema bazaar uses the programmatic units of the bazaar to create an aggregated affect. Spaces are designed as units dimensioned to fit within a regulating module that allows for different configurations of units around the central core, generating a three-dimensional composition of elements that contributes to the dynamic aggregation of the whole.
The envelope of these units explores a diverse affect as a result of its program, enclosing units in a catalog of planer systems that correspond to different uses: offices, commercial spaces, public areas and a variety of studio spaces. Each program and studio type (writer’s club, dance studio, rehersal space) is identified by a different material and fenestration pattern, creating a mixture that reflects the diversity of the population within.
