Adaptive Design: Material Meets Motion for Dynamic ArchitectureThe project involves the introduction of material properties and proformance as a key driver for design. It constitutes an exploration of the process of creating complex spatial configuaration using strip bending to create kinetic structures that respond dynamically to their environment, through simple manipulation of materials. Material behaviours are introduces to system specific assembly logics through physical and digital experimentations. Conclusions coming from physical investigations on corroborative prototypes are digitalized by use of digital and computational tools in order to enhance the overall design process. This approach not only expands the boundaries of material usage but also integrates principles of kinetic architectural component ,paving the way for adaptable , interactive spaces that redefines structural responsiveness. The outcome of the project is derived through the handeling of a flat sheet of material all the way up to creation of a interactive celing element with doubly curved strips .
