Worn to be Watched: Wearables in a Monitored 2050

This project explores how traditional jewelry and wearables, once a symbol of cultural identity, have evolved into smart accessories and mandatory surveillance tools in a tightly controlled and government-monitored world. Presenting a series of ‘discovered’ artifacts and character profiles, the project speculates on the lives and personal accessories of inhabitants of a future eco-city in Hampi. Through varied POVs, the project examines how these future wearables reflect their dual role as both functional tools and powerful symbols of control or resistance.
