Shelter for Urban Homeless

Shelters for Urban Homeless (SUH) address the basic needs of vulnerable populations, ensuring access to safe accommodation, potable drinking water, and essential services. Governed by the DAY-NULM framework, SUHs have evolved through policy milestones emphasizing inclusivity and sustainability. The vision is to make homeless individuals self-reliant and economically integrated. The mission focuses on addressing immediate shelter needs and equipping residents with necessities for dignified living  while empowering them to achieve sustainable livelihoods to re-enter the mainstream economy. This holistic approach reduces dependency, promotes livelihood generation, and aligns with national urban development goals
