The project aims to redevelop Nayi Sadak, Jodhpur, enhancing its commercial edge while respecting its socio-cultural diversity. Currently, the street features mixed-use, commercial, and residential buildings, reflecting its historic evolution. Narrow lanes, varying architectural styles, and fragmented open spaces pose challenges, particularly in circulation, parking, and vendor zoning. These overlaps create conflicts between pedestrians, vendors, and vehicles. The design proposes reconnecting blocks separated by the street through strategic fenestration, reorganizing movement patterns, and introducing a Multi-Use Zone (MUZ) along the street edge. This zone will streamline parking and vendor activities, fostering harmony and improving the functionality of the urban fabric.
