Improving Operational Efficiency of sewerage system

The project focuses on improving the operational efficiency of Rajkot's sewerage system by addressing key challenges like sewer network inefficiencies at conveyance, aging infrastructure and energy inefficiencies at conveyance and treatment both through complaint redressal system, contract review management, infrastructure asset management and energy efficiency by implementing strategies include upgrading GIS maps to integrate geotagged complaint data, introducing performance-based contracts for better accountability, and installing SCADA technology for real-time monitoring and energy optimization. Pilot testing in critical wards aims to refine solutions before city-wide implementation. These measures aim to enhance service delivery, reduce costs, and ensure sustainable sanitation management aligned with global best practices creating a positive impact on SDG 6,9,12,17.
