Feminine Edge: Rethinking Outdoor spaces for Women

After studying the activity and movements of women on the site all across Vanzaravas, each design intervention is drawn from mapping women’s activity and movement patterns on site, ensuring that they align with the daily needs and routines of women on site. The project focuses on enhancing the spaces that women regularly occupy, making them safer and more comfortable, and fostering community resilience. By empowering women to occupy these spaces more and take ownership of these spaces, the design intervention intends to develop the agency and inclusivity of women, also ensuring that these areas are functional and adaptable to climatic conditions. The project aims to transform Vanzaravas into a community where public spaces are safe and comfortable and promote social interaction, in particular for women.
