ReWater Vanjaravas

The project proposes a redevelopment for Narol lake using rainwater harvesting/ recharge systems, to balance collection to consumption level. The site was chosen for AMC redevelopment but is being met with resistance due to clearing up of the buildings around the lake area. This proposal for the lake redevelopment introduces water retention and community engagement strategies around the lake to make the lake intertwine with the community’s daily life. The proposal is based on 2 key ideas Retention (utilizing existing species and terrain to increase water permeability) and Rejuvenation (Introducing community engagement interventions).
