The Sabarmati Railway Colony Site, spread over 235 acres, is a prime land parcel owned by the Ministry of Railways. The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is tasked with conceptualizing and implementing this project. The Ministry of Railways has recognized that they own many underutilized and vacant land parcels across the country and are keen to monetize and optimize these lands to generate revenue.
