Revitalizing the Special Development Zone, Gandhi Ashram

The studio focuses on creating greenfield developments while considering the existing non-negotiables adjacent to Sabarmati Ashram. The Government of Gujarat has designated 331 acres of land in Wadaj, Ahmedabad, as a Special Development Zone (SDZ) to accommodate the expanding needs of rapidly growing urban centers. The design approach incorporates case studies, three-dimensional plans, street and block strategies, public facilities, transit integration, and phased implementation plans. The studio’s outcome showcases compelling representation graphics and persuasive communication strategies to convey the design projects effectively.
