Redefining Liveability in Dwarka through TOD Policy

The Urban Expansion and Regeneration Planning Studio addresses micro-level urban planning challenges in rapidly growing Indian cities. It integrates tools like Town Planning Schemes and Local Area Planning to bridge macro frameworks with actionable strategies. This semester focused on Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) for Dwarka, Delhi, enhancing transit accessibility, road networks, and livability. Key learnings included evaluating urban models, preparing detailed plans, and crafting practical, financially viable, and institutionally sound strategies. Regular feedback from faculty, teaching assistants, and government officials enriched the process, ensuring comprehensive and well-informed outputs for effective urban development.
