Unlocking Planned Land Delivery through LPP

The UERP Studio for Monsoon 2024 focused on developing core competencies in preparing micro-level plans for greenfield areas (LPP) that go beyond the conventional approaches and integrate multi-disciplinary aspects which results in a high-quality built environment. During the studio, we made site visits and met with the stakeholders like DDA (Delhi Development Authority), NIUA( National Institute of Urban Affairs), landowners. After reviewing the existing situations, statutory provisions and stakeholder consultations, we developed a vision and proposals for street network, zoning, infrastructure, green network, etc and explored the different ways to implement them through land reconstitution, incentivized redevelopment and other strategies after estimating compensation and contribution for each land parcel. Multiple presentations, discussions and role-play sessions by external experts and practitioners are conducted throughout the semester to facilitate learning.
