Urban Regeneration of PCMC TOD Zone via LAP

In the Local Area Plan (LAP) for the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) zone in Pimpri-Chinchwad (PCMC), we addressed challenges of urban mobility, land use, and livability. The project aimed to create a dense, mixed-use urban district that integrates sustainable transit systems and vibrant public spaces.
 Key Factors
Mobility: Designed a comprehensive road network and integrated multi-modal transit systems for improved accessibility.
Land Use: Optimized zoning to encourage mixed-use, high-density development, and facilitated redevelopment of underutilized industrial areas.
Green Spaces: Preserved natural resources, added green cover, and integrated ecological features into the urban fabric.
Public Realm: Enhanced streetscapes and created pedestrian-friendly public spaces, fostering community interaction and vibrancy.
