Transitional Story of Chandkheda

This study examines a 1 km x 1 km area in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad, to understand its urban development, land use, housing patterns, and community dynamics. By analyzing population density, public space accessibility, and transport connectivity, the study highlights key challenges, including neglected natural ponds, waterlogging issues, and irregular public transport. Interviews with residents reveal that affordability, strong community ties, and good connectivity make Chandkheda a preferred choice. The study provides insights into how Chandkheda’s urban fabric is evolving.
