A Science Observatory deep in the Thar desert

The project aims to assure to make a space for 2 scientist (Astronomer and Biologist) in the Thar dessert near Jaisalmer by providing basic necessities like water, food, waste management and energy usage. The design is in a way that it impacts minimum on nature life and is environmental friendly and is self sufficient in terms of energy usage. Design a 6x6x6 space and  it should contain Outdoor Space, Semi-outdoor space [Balcony] and enclosed space like kitchen, Bedroom, workspace area. The space is designed in a way that it is Daylit means no use of artificial light during day. The space contains several Windows and Doors to fulfill the required  need.

Design brief and Site located on Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Site plan strategy in which planting the Khijri trees (locally available in Desert of rajasthan) to maintain the wind flow and minimize the heat falling on Design and 3d renders of design with the context of site Site.

Each student was assigned different materials in which i got assigned "Sand" further chose to construct my design with the use of Sandbag Construction technique and below skecthes shows the wall section and isometric view of construction ideas.

Comparing the Mid Sem design with Final design on the basis of incident radiation with the help of running a stimulation on Grasshopper and after calculating the Final design is better than mid-sem design.
