Monsoon Semester2024 | Passive Comfort Lab

The Portfolio is a compilation of the learnings from the Passive Comfort Lab which integrates the theoretical aspects of building physics and their practical implications to optimize building envelope. The course extensively explores fundamental concepts in building physics such as heat transfer, solar geometry, psychrometry, load calculations, moisture transfer and climate analysis. A hands-on approach was emphasized through fabricating hot and cold spaces within an enclosure to understand material thermal properties and apply passive strategies for corresponding climate.  Design Builder/Energy Plus simulations were integrated to analyze office building thermal loads, enhancing comprehension of real-world applications.
