DESIGN OF A PARKING BAY USING STEEL

This course revolves around enabling students to grasp the properties of various materials and their crucial role in shaping structural behavior, essential for effective design. Throughout the semester, the studio methodically guides students through the step-by-step process of structure design, utilizing both manual calculations and software. The current project involves designing a PARKING bay at CEPT University. The project's objectives include gaining an understanding of the chosen material, exploring the form-finding and development process, establishing the structural system, conducting preliminary design and sizing of elements, analyzing the structure, and providing initial detailing for the structural components of the project.
