Spaces of resonance:Architectural Mnemonic RevivaL

Conservation is an act of care, a commitment to honoring the presence of a structure and the memories embedded within it. Conservation is an opportunity to use existing buildt forms as mnemonic devices to recall the memory of a history of the place, the industrial history of Ahmedabad in this particular case. A mnemonic does not have to be complete. Aspects of buildings, in their incompleteness, can act as triggers for memory recall. Hence reviving parts of buildings is enough to act as a mnemonic device.
