The Sangkalp at Jodhpur is a design for a wood sculptor's family (wife as an artist and 12 years young daughter), having studio spaces, home-stay facilities for 12 interns, and a guest room for the sculptor's parents. As a response to the hot and dry climate of Jodhpur, the design is governed by earth berming and having two courtyards. The organization of spaces is majorly done for the ease of the family so that the artists don't have to move through different levels. Hence, ground floor has residence and studios, and first floor has home-stay.
