The project aims to create a school that has a strong climate response towards the harsh and cold temperatures of Leh while creating spaces of interaction and informal learning which connect the students to their natural surroundings. The idea of sunspaces is used to create such spaces of interaction which is also a primary heating strategy to keep the school warm during day. The design features a constant play in levels through ramps and steps which also serve as pause points for interaction. The overall curved form aligns with the winter sun path in order to take in maximum heat.
