The exclusive and close-knit nature of the Bhadra community has its roots in the social life and norms during the Maratha Period. One observes a series of nodes that have evolved over a period of time from points connecting the network of streets to interaction spaces in the community .Some of these spaces are historically relevant, some are celebration spaces during festivals whereas some spaces are important for everyday interactions. This project aims at reimagining this unique network of nodes and open spaces while keeping in mind the routine activities of the members of the community. The project explores the revival of various spaces as well as ideas that have deep meaning to the community but have been lost over a period of time. The design also explores the dynamic nature of the nodes during the different festivals and community gatherings and caters not only to the residents but also the large inflow of visitors during the festive seasons.
