The site is located in the environs of the Bandstand at Kamati Baug, Vadodra, and the program chosen to work upon is a Display Gallery. The pavilion consists of two elements - circular pods and a serpentine ramp around the pods. The circular pods retain the circular shape of the bandstand and its environs. The serpentine ramp takes the users around the pods hence embracing the curvilinear movement around the bandstand. After the users come out of the pavilion through the ramp, a direct visual connection to the Bandstand is established when they completely outside. The height of the pods above the ground level gradually decreases towards the bandstand. Open and semi-open spaces outside or adjoining the pavilion serve as spaces to initiate discussions, casual meetings, chance encounters, and other informal gatherings.
