Kaarbanik Bazaar is a farmer’s market in Jamalpur, Ahmedabad, that strives to foster connections among local florists, vendors, chefs, and artists, as well as customers. It assists in providing opportunities for small farmers and enterprises to market their products, as well as meeting the rising demand for locally produced food by providing the freshest produce directly to consumers without the participation of middlemen. The programme comprises multiple stalls, an exhibition space used for display and communication, and a cafeteria for people to unwind and take in the breathtaking view of the Sabarmati river. The exhibition area connects the farmers to the urban lifestyle by including a live kitchen and displaying their organic goods, locally produced cuisines, ceramics and earthenware, and handcrafted items.
