Understanding Architecture through the Idea of Intimacy

1. To outline for the purposes of this study a definite territory of the concept of “Intimacy”, from the world of language and perhaps literature, to map onto an architectural methodology to explore built space using this territory as a framework.
2. To develop an architectural method of expressing the process and results of the intersection of the aforementioned framework and situations of architecture.
3. To show that our lived experience of space and time are inextricable from our observations and descriptions of reality; that our framing reality (in this case architectural) re-creates afresh our understanding of the same building or spaces.
