A weaving method was used in the design of the Petal Pavilion. The design process began with a variety of case studies and evolved into a number of models through the use of woven patterns. Using a ferroconcrete weaving technique, the dining pavilion and sitting furniture were also constructed on a 1:1 scale. With modules in the shape of petals, the final design is called the Petal Pavilion. The structure is created by adhering to the weaving pattern. In this cantilever structure, both compression and tensile forces are at play. This project promises to be a unique architectural marvel by balancing innovative design, structural integrity, and environmental integration.
