Streets are not just to be seen as conduits for getting us from point A to point B; they are also a place for socializing, entertainment, commerce, and for civic expression. It is to say that there is a function of the streets beyond the perceived function. Hence the elements of street design become important as they reflect onto the human perceptual experience which develops from the response of his/her senses to the street as a whole. Indian streets have today become an exclusive domain of either cars or informal vending activities. The project explores ideas for contextual street rejuvenation.
