FOLD A BOX

The studio holds three important exercises, where making a fenestration, a spanning system and implementing the spanning system in a low rise building module. Fenestration model is a method used to understand material and exploration of different components required for the making of a industrial grade window. The studio explored low rise as a first attempt where the spanning of the building is used as a roofing and load transfer structure, here the spanning and bearing system holds the importance of design, understanding forces and exploration of materials and the impact of forces on the structural system and its detailing.
