The site is the Toraniya Naka the gateway to a palace complex, Darbargadh in Old city Bhuj. The aim was to justify the significance of the Toraniya Naka in the context of the Darbargadh Chowk. The documentation and study have been carried out by mapping the fabric of the chowk and then comparing it with the conjectured elevation derived from the archival photos and text. To arrive at the significance, a set of values corresponding to the theme were identified by selecting markers from the structure.
