This project tries to create a neighborhood comprised of diverse dwellers and correspondingly diverse typologies bound together by a strong sense of (regional) identity and community. Being based in Udaipur there are water systems connecting the playful courtyards and backlanes, a central green spine connecting a water harvesting lake and the adjacent river and playful facades designed by the inhabitants themselves. Underlying the whole neighborhood is a long lasting concrete support structure creating a great variety of units, which are also allowed to change over time.
