The title, 'Of Datum and Dicto', refers to two key features of this project. Datum, meaning an element that binds different entities together, exists here in the form of the roof and the ground itself. Dicto, meaning something that is said repeatedly, refers to the program, i.e. designing a linguistic research center. 

This building merges with the landform by following the rising level of the ground with elevations in the plinth. Its canopy and plinth are the two key features that define the project.
