Pulse of the People

The park is positioned in a planned neighbourhood bordered by mixed-use main streets where the trending commercialization has given an identity considering it as a sub-culture. Trees over fifty years of age housing urban birds, an existing nala reimagined as a swale and generations of families have a close association to this space since it caters to their daily routines. Early mornings and mid evenings have the highest footfall making the arrival of city dwellers relevant to the immediate residents. Since it lies within the premises of an airport, restrictions on building heights are checked therefore trees dominate the skyline. This permeable green canopy makes Bangalore a charming city. The playground hosts city scaled events with temporary structures for food and art markets sub-consciously luring the citizen of elements found in a grandmother's garden. The mass planting of trees encircles the walkway creating a distinction between an open to sky setting further towards a closed dappled one. A walk through the park reminds and resets the user to by-gone days sporting a timeless attitude.
