The city of Lucknow has a prominent place in the history of India, particularly for its art, historical monuments,
and rich cultural heritage. Today, it has a well-known custom and a significant business activity in the city
and surrounding areas. Various cultural elements have added to the richness of this one-of-a-kind
metropolis. The proposal for the selected site is to have a center responding to Lucknow’s handicrafts. Hence, the project intends to give the city a place for an immersive experience of Lucknow. it imagines
the site as a cultural hotspot bringing together
artisans and end users to ideate, learn, and
experience the richness of Awadhi culture.
Emphasizing an
inviting atmosphere, the integrated program
seeks equilibrium, balancing commercial vibrancy,
recreational diversity, and leisure tranquility—a
testament to a thoughtfully curated urban space.
Notably, this riverfront project’s uniqueness lies
in its fusion of cultural vibrancy, sustainable
practices, and meticulous design, setting it apart
from conventional models and establishing a
landmark that resonates with the city’s identity.
Further, creating a planting strategy for the site, within
the urban landscape, prioritizes several key
elements to enhance the overall experience for
users. This is achieved by incorporating meandering
pathways, pockets of greenery, and seating areas
surrounded by lush vegetation, encouraging
users to explore and engage with the natural
surroundings while seamlessly guiding them
to their destination. In this way, the planting
strategy not only beautifies the urban landscape
but also enhances the overall user experience,
making the journey to the haat a memorable
and enjoyable one.
