This is not-so-distant future, the cityscape has transformed into a bustling hive of activity, but not in the traditional sense. Gig workers on hyper runs through the streets, weaving through the dense traffic of autonomous vehicles and delivery drones. The once familiar billboards that adorned the skyline now pulsate with a dizzying array of advertisements, each vying for attention in the sea of data, basically proliferation of OOH advertising in the future. As technological infrastructure has evolved, the city has become a maze of interconnected hubs, where data flows ceaselessly and algorithms dictate everything from traffic management to public services. The human touch that once defined urban life has been overshadowed by the relentless march of progress, leaving city dwellers feeling disconnected and alienated from their surroundings. Public engagement with the city has dwindled to mere transactions, as people navigate their way through a landscape dominated by screens and sensors. The sense of community that once thrived in neighborhood squares and local markets has been replaced by virtual interactions and algorithmically curated experiences.  

The vision is rooted in the belief that every individual, regardless of their occupation or background deserves to thrive in their urban environment - By making completely open public places. Through temporary interventions and community involvement, this can revitalize neglected spaces and create opportunities for all informalities and city dwellers to flourish. In essence, the proposal seeks to retrace the utilities of Ahmedabad by embracing temporality as a tool for revitalization and social empowerment. The project seeks to re imagine the handling of city data and technological infrastructure, integrating out-of-home advertising, telecommunications, and civic infrastructure as key systems anchored by gig workers as pivotal contributors, with greater aim to revitalize public engagement with the city.
