Exploring Modularity in Mass Housing

An exploration of modular yet flexible housing system located at Jamalpur Ahmedabad, inspired by the readings of Moshe Safdie in 'Beyond Habitat' and John Habrakin in 'Support'. This project explores the possibility to use space as a flexible entity where the resident only buys as much as is needed and can later be modified based on increasing family size or any other reason based on community negotiations and dialogue, the architect only provides a framework for the whole system to work.
