Lake Memnagar is located in the center of the city, has a park and is mostly surrounded by residential buildings and housing complexes. Due to shrinkage of the catchment area and interrupted storm water drainage, the lake receives water mainly during the monsoon and remains mostly dry throughout the year. Due to various urban pressures, the lake is slowly deteriorating. The vision of the Aquarév aims to revitalize the lake and spaces within the lake site, with a sustainable design that focuses on the idea of celebrating water and respects people's existing association with this public space to create a dynamic experience for the public in and around the restored body of water and spaces, designed with strategic plantings to enhance the public's experience and also restore water quality and biodiversity.
