Transitional Wildscape

The site is a high-rise residential project under the Applewood township project at Shela, Ahmedabad. The site is a podium landscape with only 0.6 meters of soil dept and is surrounded by high building blocks. The design is conceptualized and focused on connecting to nature through a new lens such as wilderness, spontaneity, and spaces that appear seamless, thus the project title “transitional wildscape. An idea to provide a spatial experience of nature through spaces, their character and material being natural and organic. The transitional nature of the project is not just in terms of the spaces but also through the naturalistic planting approach. The planting is through the idea of Piet Oudolf’s matrix planting inspired by wild and native grasses and perennials designed as a balance between artistic and ecological. A place of luxury living in harmony with nature.
